Description
Woodside Petroleum Tape is the industry favourite anti corrosion tape as used by Gas Networks, Water Networks and contractors alike for sealing underground joints against moisture. It is designed to isolate metal surfaces to aid protection against corrosion, salt water, road salt/ice melt etc. and can be used to protect pipes, valves, cables, fittings and similar structures from corrosion above the ground, below the ground and even if they are immersed. It is a cold applied tape, based on a synthetic fabric which is impregnated and coated with a neutral petrolatum compound. It is non-hardening and non-cracking. It is highly resistant to mineral acids, alkali’s, salts and micro-organisms and highly impermeable to water, water vapour and gases. Used for the protection of buried or exposed pipes, bolts, cables, valves and metal fittings from corrosion.
We recommend in buried applications to apply this tape with a 55% overlap to ensure double thickness.

Highly impermeable to water and gases
Suitable for operating temperatures of -168 degrees to +110 degrees Celsius but we would recommend a temperature range for application of +20 to 45C for easy application.
